Weekend Round-up

It may be only April, but this past weekend felt like SUMMER! We kicked it off with Friday date night, where this weekend we indulged in some double date action including going out dancing. Our first stop was Havana on Capitol Hill, and then we tried a new bar called Grim, which was super cool. I didn't love the music, but the atmosphere gave off a bit of rustic lodge meets hipster cool. And apparently my friend and I thought we were 21 again and over did it a bit on the cocktails. But I had a blast, so I guess it was worth it:).

The rest of the weekend was spent blissfully at home on the lake. We did a bit of gardening, kayaking, swimming, and lounging. The water was still a chilly 56 degrees, but that didn't stop my crazy husband from jumping in on Saturday.(Although he was joined by a few neighbors, so I guess he's not THAT crazy). On Sunday we put Miles in his wet suit and he joined his papa in swimming. Basically, Miles had so much fun that he wanted to stay in the water all day.

It was really a very lovely weekend. It was one of those weekends that makes me sit back and say, yup, life may not be perfect, but its pretty damn fabulous.
