About Me
My pregnancy occurred quite by accident. It’s not that I didn’t want to have a child, however as a 27 year old recovering lawyer, I imagined that my mommy years would start a few years into the future. After all, I was still busy figuring out how to run my small lawyer marketing business and reignite all the passions of my earlier years which seemed to slip away during law school and my foray into the secular world. The idea of children had been on the horizon for many years, as my husband and I regularly discussed our future babies; so we were very excited about eventually starting a family…in a few years. But now it seems we get to start our family a little earlier than expected!
Perhaps my pregnancy wasn’t planned, but I couldn’t be happier. As I go along the journey of pregnancy I am finding the experience to be so surreal that I can’t help but want to share it with anyone who will listen. I won’t pretend that everyday is blissful, but everyday is certainly fascinating. My body is changing in interesting ways, and I’ve already had to morph into a more responsible person (regular exercise, no alcohol, organic food, and fresh fruit smoothies…oh my!). I find that it’s a struggle trying to balance normalcy (or at least my version of normalcy) with necessity to be a “good mother.” I don’t want to become too obsessive of the don’ts of pregnancy and mommyhood, but I also want to make sure I’m doing the right things. How can I become a good mom without losing focus of the person I am and want to be? How can I keep being a good wife? How do I build my career when I feel the need to sleep 20 hour a day? Which maternity jeans should I wear to make my butt looks smaller?
Thus, in honor of the unexpectedly adventurous journey of motherhood, I decided to create this blog. I hope to use this space to share not only my thoughts and fears, but also as a hopeless fashionista, fashion finds and great products for us mommies and mommies-to-be.

Do your prenatal vitamins make you a bit queasy?
I found that when I took my vitamin in the morning after breakfast I got slightly nauseous, so I started taking the vitamins at night before bed! Now I don't have that sick feeling all morning.
